Third Thursday Sustainable Speaker Series

The purpose of the Third Thursday speaker series is to share information about local sustainability issues with the community at large, the student body and faculty, staff of CCCC. Past sessions include hydraulic fracking, pesticide education, farmworker issues and alternative fuel vehicles. For more information, contact Laura Lauffer at llauffer@cccc.edu

Prior to each Third Thursday event, we offer a campus tour of our class facilities and grounds. Picture of CCCC Library would be good here

S4S Club

The S4S Club, Students for Sustainability Club, formed in 2011. The purpose of the club is to provide fellowship and learning opportunities for members and increase sustainability awareness on our campuses and community.

The Green Office (GO!)Challenge

Everyone is invited to participate in making CCCC a more sustainable institution.

CCCC's Sustainability Committee has teamed up with the () to create the Green Office GO! Challenge. The GO! Challenge goal is to increase efficiency, comfort and health in our college workplaces. Participants complete an assessment identifying actions where energy savings, purchases and daily activities can enhance the workplace.

In 2013 the CCCC Sustainability Committee kicked of the GO! Green Office Challenge. Ten teams are participating to green their office space.
