CCCC's program will be offered completely online to allow flexibility for students who work full time or who do not live close to campus. All general education courses have a seated option.
Accreditation
The Health Information Management accreditor of Central Carolina Community College is the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM). The College's accreditation for the Associate Degree in Health Information Technology has been reaffirmed through 2030. Program Mission
To prepare students for an exciting and rewarding career in the healthcare field by providing a dynamic learning environment with an innovative curriculum that utilizes the latest technology in the healthcare industry. By placing focus on curriculum competencies as well as developing ethical standards and professional behavior, students will be equipped to obtain nationally recognized certification and begin their healthcare careers.
Program Outcomes
Graduation Rate: 42.11% of students who began the HIT program in the Fall of 2021 have graduated from the HIT program.
Employment Rate: 100% of HIT graduates from the 2022-2023 academic year are employed in healthcare.
Student Satisfaction Rate: 100% of graduates responded that they were satisfied or very satisfied with the HIT program at CCCC.
RHIT Exam Pass Rate: 100% of test takers, passed the RHIT exam on their FIRST attempt during the 2022-2023 academic year.
