About TRiO Student Support Services
Welcome to TRIO Student Support Services
TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) is a federally funded program at Central Carolina Community College that provides academic and student success support to eligible students. TRIO SSS helps students persist in college, plan for transfer or career pathways, and work toward timely degree completion.
Who TRIO SSS Serves
TRIO Student Support Services supports eligible students who are:
- First-generation college students
- Income eligible based on federal TRIO guidelines
- Students with documented disabilities
(Eligibility is determined in accordance with federal TRIO regulations.)
TRIO Programs at CCCC
Central Carolina Community College offers two TRIO Student Support Services programs:
- TRIO Student Support Services – Classic
- TRIO Student Support Services – STEM & Health Sciences
Together, these programs serve students across Chatham, Harnett, and Lee counties.
What We Offer
- Help with course selection and scheduling
- Referrals to campus tutoring services (we connect you with CCCC’s Tutoring Center)
- Study skills workshops
- Career exploration events
- Mentorship opportunities
- Success coaching for academic, personal, and career goals
- College success workshops
- Visits to 4-year universities to explore programs and campuses
- Guidance on making the most of CCCC’s transfer resources
