Promise/K14
For students who have or will have graduated from high school in the two years prior to starting Central Carolina Promise.
Eligible high school graduates that reside in Chatham, Harnett, and Lee County can receive free in-state tuition and required student fees at Central Carolina Community College. Funds for this program are generously supplied by the Chatham, Harnett, and Lee County Commissioners. Eligibility requirements may vary by county and by program sub-category. Funding for textbooks and other class materials, whether physical or digital, is not included in the Central Carolina Promise program.
Potential participants will fall into one of the two sub-categories below.
Please note: Students must submit an application to the correct sub-category to be considered for the program. CCCC will not automatically accept students into the Central Carolina Promise program without a completed application.
First, we’ll need to determine which sub-category applies to you. Think about your high school graduation date, relative to when you intend to start your first semester with the Central Carolina Promise program.

For students who graduated from high school more than two years prior to starting Central Carolina Promise. Ideal candidates do not currently hold a college degree of any kind, but all applicants will be considered.
I am so grateful for this opportunity. I am now graduating from UNC Chapel Hill with my bachelors degree. I got my bachelors in 2.5 years with the help of this program. Advisors were incredible and I regularly recommend it to anyone and everyone I can.
