Green Programs

Central Carolina Community College is known as "Green Central" because sustainability programs have been front-and-center in its planning for a long time.

For those who want to learn sustainability skills without taking degree courses, the Continuing Education Department at the Chatham County Campus offers classes in Sustainable Agriculture, Green Building and Renewable Energy, and Ecotourism. The sustainable agriculture program has proven so popular, it has been expanded to the college's West Harnett Center in Harnett County.

Sustainable Agriculture

Central Carolina started offering sustainable agriculture classes in 1996. Through Continuing Education, students and the public can learn about organic vegetable production, raising fiber animals, and other topics.
