
Fitness First Fridays
Ready for a fantastic way to boost your health, have fun, and connect with others? The Health and Fitness Science (HFS) Department and CCCC Athletics are thrilled to present "Fitness First Fridays," a dynamic and inclusive physical activity program designed specifically for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Join us for an afternoon of fun, fitness, and skill-building in a supportive environment. Our goal is simple: to promote physical activity and skill development that lasts a lifetime. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just looking to get moving, there's something for everyone!
What to Expect
Each session is a new adventure! Led by the HFS Department Chair, Thadd McElreath, along with other passionate CCCC faculty and staff, you'll get to try a variety of exciting activities, including:
- Basketball, volleyball, and soccer
- Pickleball and badminton
- Yoga and weight training
- And other exciting group games!
The Details
- When: The first Friday of each month (September-December & February-May) from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m..
- Where: The gymnasium on the Lee Main Campus at 1105 Kelly Drive.
- Who Can Join: This program is open exclusively to IDD participants.

- $6.00 per individual session
