The Health and Fitness Science (HFS) Department and CCCC Athletics are thrilled to present "Fitness First Fridays," a dynamic and inclusive physical activity program designed specifically for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Join us for an afternoon of fun, fitness, and skill-building in a supportive environment. Our goal is simple: to promote physical activity and skill development that lasts a lifetime. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just looking to get moving, there's something for everyone!

What to Expect

Each session is a new adventure! Led by the HFS Department Chair, Thadd McElreath, along with other passionate CCCC faculty and staff, you'll get to try a variety of exciting activities, including:

  • Basketball, volleyball, and soccer
  • Pickleball and badminton
  • Yoga and weight training
  • And other exciting group games!

The Details

  • When: The first Friday of each month (September-December & February-May) from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m..
  • Where: The gymnasium on the Lee Main Campus at 1105 Kelly Drive.
  • Who Can Join: This program is open exclusively to IDD participants.
  • Cost:
    • $6.00 per individual session
    • Or, save and pay $20.00 for the entire semester (includes 4 sessions)!
