Plus Promise Student Checklists
Student Checklists For Central Carolina Promise Plus
Students must meet certain requirements to qualify for the Promise Plus program, which can provide funding for the financial equivalent of two years/five semesters at CCCC. Students must be more than two years past their high school graduation to qualify. Students who do not meet these requirements will not be considered for Promise Plus funding.
All students in the Promise Plus program must maintain good academic standing. Participants are subject to all college policies related to financial aid Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).
Deadline Information
Applications for Promise Plus are accepted on a rolling basis; it is recommended that students have all the eligibility requirements met/submitted at least two weeks prior to the applicable payment deadline to ensure that all processes on the college’s side can be completed before the deadline.
Students who do not complete all required items on time can still be considered for the program, but may not be fully approved to receive funding until after the payment deadline(s. Students in this situation may have to pay out of their own pocket up front or risk being dropped for non-payment. Students who are not qualified by the payment deadline are encouraged to set up a Deferred Payment Plan. Reimbursement can be issued via Promise Plus if/when the student meets all eligibility requirements.

New students can verify their checklist progress by logging into their Success Hub, which is accessible via the CCCC Portal.
Students must apply to the Promise Plus program; they cannot be admitted automatically. This application differs from the admissions application (see below) and should be submitted as soon as possible--don't delay!
Students will need to apply online:

The FAFSA is required for all Central Carolina Promise Plus applicants. The FAFSA application can be accessed and completed online.
CCCC's FAFSA Code is 005449. If you do not provide the code on your FAFSA application, the FAFSA will not connect to CCCC and will be considered incomplete.
The Financial Aid Office will contact you regarding the status of your FAFSA.

If you took classes previously at CCCC but have been away from the college for more than one year, you will need to submit a new admissions application.
You should be sure to include your correct social security number on your admissions application. Failure to include a SSN on the application will result in CCCC not receiving your FAFSA information and your Promise Plus enrollment being delayed or denied.
Contact your high school to send official transcripts directly to the Admissions Office after your high school graduation or request an official transcript through CFNC. All transcripts sent prior to graduation will be considered unofficial.
If you were a homeschool student, the homeschool administrator must provide proof that the homeschool is certified by the North Carolina Department of Administration and include the most recent two years of standardized test scores.
