Graduation Information

Steps to Apply for Graduation

  1. Complete Application: Complete an Application for Graduation ( THIS MUST BE DONE WHETHER OR NOT YOU CHOOSE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CEREMONY. Be sure to list your name exactly as you want it to appear on your credential. List ALL certificates, diplomas, or degrees you will complete.
  2. There Will NOT be a Summer Ceremony: If you will complete your requirements at the end of summer and wish to be a part of the ceremony, you will need to fill out an application and turn it in by the March 20th deadline to participate in the May ceremony. If you will be a summer graduate you will walk in May but will not actually receive your credential until after it is conferred by the Board of Trustees during their quarterly meeting in October. (Please contact the Registrar's Office or your advisor for more information on this)
  3. Advisor Review: Meet with your advisor for credential completion verification. Have your advisor sign your Application for Graduation and also have your advisor to fill out and staple an Advising Sheet to your application. No forms will be accepted without an advisors signature and an advising sheet attached.
  4. Submit Application: Submit your application for graduation, These forms must be submitted by March 20, 2015:

  5. Pay your graduation fees.
    • If you are participating in the May 2015 ceremony, the graduation fee is $18.
    • If you are not participating, there is not a graduation fee. (Your credential(s) will be mailed to you after graduation or you can stop by the Registrar's Office for pickup.)
    • The deadline to pay graduation fees is March 20, 2015.

  6. Send out Announcements: Graduation announcements are available in all three CCCC Bookstores.
  7. Graduation Practice: Graduation Practice is Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Graduation practice is at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center, small auditorium. Caps and gowns will be handed out after each practice if graduation fees have been paid (Please bring your receipt). There are two practices, one at 1:00pm and another at 5:30pm. You will need to attend one of these practices in order to participate in the graduation ceremony.
  8. Graduation Day:
    • Graduates must be in their seats in the small auditorium by 8:15 a.m., 10:45 a.m., & 2:15 p.m.. Honor cords and honor society stoles will be issued at that time, prior to the ceremony. Degrees, Diplomas, and Certificates will be handed out immediately following the ceremony on the small auditorium stage. If you have any outstanding debts to the college, or overdue library materials your credential will be held.
