Graduation Information

Steps to Apply for Graduation

  1. Complete Application: Download and complete a Application for Graduation ( This must be done whether or not you choose to participate in the ceremony. Be sure to list your name exactly as you want it to appear on your credential. List ALL certificates, diplomas, or degrees you will complete.
  2. Meet with your advisor for credential verification. Have your advisor sign your Application for Graduation and also have your advisor to fill out and staple an Advising Sheet to your application. No forms will be accepted without an advisors signature and an advising sheet attached!
  3. Submit your Application for Graduation: Submit your application for graduation, These forms must be submitted by October 23, 2015:

  4. Pay your graduation fees.
    • If you are participating in the May 2016 ceremony, the graduation fee is $18.
    • If you are not participating, there is not a graduation fee. (Your credential(s) will be mailed to you after graduation or you can stop by the Registrar's Office for pickup.)
    • The deadline to pay graduation fees is October 23, 2015.
    • Graduation fees can be paid at the following locations:

  5. Graduation Practice Graduation Practice is Tuesday, April 19 and Wednesday, April 20, 2016 1:00 p.m. OR 5:30 p.m. in the Small Auditorium of the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center. Caps and gowns will be handed out after each practice if graduation fees have been paid. Please bring your receipt. **You ONLY need to attend ONE of these practices**
  6. Send out Announcements: Graduation announcements are available in all three CCCC Bookstores.
  7. Graduation Day: Thursday, May 12, 2016.
    • Graduates must be in their seats in the small auditorium by 8:15 a.m., 10:45 a.m., & 2:15 p.m.. Honor cords and honor society stoles will be issued at that time, prior to the ceremony. Degrees, Diplomas, and Certificates will be handed out immediately following the ceremony on the small auditorium stage. If you have any outstanding debts to the college, or overdue library materials your credential will be held.
  8. There Will NOT be a December Ceremony: If you complete your requirements in December you can request a transcript or official letter stating that you earned your credentials. You will not receive your credentials until the May Ceremony!! (Please contact the Registrar's Office or your advisor for more information on this)
