Referrals
Dear Faculty/Staff,
We are TRiO Student Support Services Programs. We are a federally-funded TRiO program designed to assist college students with academic skills and motivation to successfully complete a postsecondary education. The goal of the Student Support Services program is to increase the college retention and graduations rates of its participants. Please consider taking a few moments to learn about how you can continue to support the success of your current students long after they leave your classroom by referring them to the TRiO Student Support Services program.
As a Faculty or Staff member you have a unique relationship with our students. You have supported them through academic challenges this semester, and celebrated their successes. You have heard their stories. You know them best. That is why we need your help.
Are any of your current students in need of additional academic support or guidance? Do they come from a low-income background? Are they the first in their family to attend college?
If so, please take a few moments to refer them to our TRiO Student Support Services program, which was brought here to our college to support the success of 260 low-income, first-generation students and students with disabilities by providing a wide variety of support services. We also have $20,000 in supplemental grant aid to award each year to students in need!
