Dates, Deadlines & Disbursements
Navigating financial aid is crucial for your educational journey at CCCC. This section outlines important dates and deadlines related to applying for financial aid, bookstore charges, and disbursement schedules. Staying informed about these timelines can help ensure that you meet all necessary requirements and maximize your financial support throughout your studies.
Deadline to Apply for Financial Aid
Students can typically submit FAFSA applications starting on October 1st, until June 30th, of the academic year. For example, students wishing to enroll at CCCC for the 2025-2026 academic years can submit a FAFSA application no later than June 30, 2026. However, it is strongly recommended that FAFSA applications are submitted prior to the start of semester that you are planning to attend to ensure that eligibility is determined prior to CCCC's tuition payment deadlines, see the college's Academic Calendar for details.
Priority Deadlines
A valid FAFSA application and all required verification documents and forms must be submitted to the Financial Aid Office by the following priority dates for the best chance of receiving a financial aid award for the term that you plan to enroll.
Fall Semester - July 1
Spring Semester - November 1
Summer Semester - April 1
Applications and documents submitted after these dates will continue to be processed in date order; however, you are responsible for payment of your tuition, fees, and book charges. Payments options are available via the Business Office. Once your financial aid is processed and it is determined that you are eligible to receive an award, you will be reimbursed for your out of pocket expenses up to the amount of your award eligibility.
Students may continue to submit documents to the Financial Aid Office for up to 120 days after the last day of their enrollment or by August 1st, of the academic year, whichever is earlier, for a determination of eligibility for all aid. Note: In order to guarantee an award before the start of the term you plan to enroll, follow the priority dates provided above.
Failure to Submit Required Documents: Students who do not submit required documents to the Office of Financial Aid forfeits his/her aid for the award year. In certain cases, students must return any aid funds already received for the year.

Add/Drop Census Dates For Financial Aid
The Financial Aid Office at Central Carolina Community College will adjust awards each semester, as required, based on the student's enrollment status as of the student's "Financial Aid Freeze Date" for his/her first session of that semester. This is the date we take a "snapshot" of students' enrollment status to establish the "official enrollment status" for reporting purposes and financial aid eligibility. At this point, if actual attendance is less than full-time (ex: half-time), awards will be adjusted accordingly. See Census Policy For Financial Aid for more details.
Financial Aid Census Dates: Fall 2025 Financial Aid Census Date: September 2, 2025
*Students who receive a financial aid award after the "award by" date for their registered session will be paid on a rolling basis. For example: if you are enrolled in classes for the full 16 or 1st 8-week term and are awarded after September 4th, your disbursement will occur on subsequent dates. Please contact the financial aid office to confirm the subsequent disbursement date if this situation pertains to you.
