U.S. Veterans Magazine names CCCC as a Top Veteran-Friendly School
SANFORD — CCCC has been recognized as a Top Veteran-Friendly School by U.S. Veterans Magazine as part of its Nov. 1 issue.
The magazine conducts a national evaluation to identify the organizations and institutions that go above and beyond in supporting veterans and transitioning service members to create lists that are trusted resources for those navigating their next steps.
At CCCC, the Veterans Affairs Coordinator works with service members to maximize their VA benefits and to foster smooth educational journeys, while the Veterans Upward Bound program helps veterans from around the region prepare to enroll in higher education with tailored advice and support, including assistance with academic skill development. The Military Affiliated Resource Center provides a place for veteran and military-affiliated students at CCCC to relax, recharge, and find resources.
“They have done so much for our country, so serving them to the best of our ability is the only way to do it,” said Veterans Affairs Coordinator Angie Estes.
