SANFORD N.C. – CCCC’s volleyball team is starting its fall season with, “high energy, strong leadership, and a hunger to compete,” according to Head Coach Chandler Ellis.
There are 10 players on the team, an increase from Ellis’ first season with the team last year. With six players needed on the court at any time, that depth will make the team more resilient to injuries and other challenges.
“You know you have people that have your back and make sure the job gets done,” said Ellis.
Team members this year come from Lee, Chatham, Harnett, Surry, Moore, and Orange counties.
Ellis is leading the team with the help of Assistant Coach Marissa Thomas.
“As coaches, we are proud of the progress made over the summer and are excited about the potential this group brings to our court,” Ellis said. “The girls are focused, fired up, and ready to make their mark at Central Carolina. Fans can expect fast-paced action and a high-energy atmosphere. We would love to pack our gym every game, and look forward to a great season.”
