Community invited to connect with local employers at upcoming job fair

SANFORD, N.C. — Central Carolina Community College is inviting community members to attend a job fair on April 29.

The job fair will take place from 2 to 5:30 p.m. at CCCC’s Dennis A. Wicker Civic & Conference Center on the college’s Lee Main Campus in Sanford. This annual event is free and open to the public.

It is part of CCCC’s Career Expo 2026, which also includes a morning career exploration event for middle and high school students.

“This is the biggest hiring event that I host at the college, so it’s really an exciting time,” said Career Center Coordinator Felicia Gilmore.

CCCC is hosting its annual Career Expo on April 29, including a job fair that is open to the public.

Gilmore recommends that job seekers bring plenty of copies of their resume to hand to employers. Business casual attire is suggested, she said, but even just a neat, wrinkle-free shirt with a pair of jeans can help create a positive first impression.

Employers will represent a wide range of career fields, such as healthcare, sales, customer service, nonprofit organizations, and law enforcement. The event also includes the opportunity to connect with CCCC and local resource providers.
