CCCC’s Commercial Driver License training program will hold open house on Jan. 15

SANFORD, N.C. — Central Carolina Community College is holding an open house on Thursday, Jan. 15 for community members interested in learning more about the college’s Class A Commercial Driver License training program. 

The program prepares students to drive tractor-trailers and provides a direct path to employment in just a few months. Graduates see high job placement rates and many enter the workforce with competitive starting salaries. Significant scholarship opportunities are available. 

CCCC Commercial Truck Driver (CDL)
Central Carolina Community College offers truck driver training at its Lee Main Campus in Sanford. 

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2101 Nash Street, Driveway Entrance C, at CCCC’s E. Eugene Moore Center in Sanford. Guests are welcome to come at any time during those hours. 

CDL Lead Instructor Junious Surles and CDL Coordinator Billy Erskine will be on hand to talk with participants and answer questions. Attendees also can see the training site and look inside the vehicles.
