CCCC signs Public Safety Administration degree agreement with RCC 

SANFORD, N.C. — Central Carolina Community College and Richmond Community College have signed an agreement that provides a path for RCC students to pursue a Public Safety Administration degree through CCCC. 

CCCC’s two-year Associate in Applied Science in Public Safety Administration offers an opportunity for first responders and other public safety professionals to gain credentials that have become necessary for promotion.

The college offers a flexible online program, built around eight-week Public Safety Administration classes. It is a model that has attracted students from across a range of public safety fields to CCCC. 

Students can also get credit for prior learning, such as the basic training they took to enter their fields, as well as additional continuing education training they have received. 

Through this agreement, RCC students can complete required general education classes and technical coursework that are offered through RCC and complete their Public Safety Administration classes through CCCC. 

RCC plans to promote the Public Safety Administration degree pathway to local public safety professionals and students within the RCC service area, which includes Richmond and Scotland counties.
