CCCC Foundation hosts successful 13th Annual Chatham County Golf Classic
PITTSBORO, N.C. — Playing under blue skies, golfers from across the region helped raise funds to support Central Carolina Community College during the CCCC Foundation’s 13th Annual Chatham County Golf Classic on May 28.
The annual tournament, which took place at the Golf Club at Chapel Ridge in Pittsboro, brought together local businesses, community partners, and supporters for a four-person captain’s choice competition. Teams competed across two flights during the tournament.
First Flight
First Place: Jack Haskell, Raymond Davis, Alan Dirk, and Mark Arrington — Score: 56
Second Place: Eli Starkey, Bo Adams, David Zizzi, and Steve Dreese — Score: 61
Third Place: David Belser, Chris Bunnell, Joe Scarano, and Trey Wilson — Score: 62 (Scorecard Playoff)
Second Flight
First Place: Sara Newcomb, Alexandra Dowdy, Zan Thornton, and Matthew Brown — Score: 65 (Scorecard Playoff)
Second Place: Bobby Powell, Jack Radley, Ronnie Brown, and David Von Canon — Score: 65 (Scorecard Playoff)
Third Place: Rick Gibbs, Bob Wynne, Tim Watkins, and Alan Cook — Score: 65 (Scorecard Playoff)
Special contest winners included Bill McGee for Longest Drive and Mick Hughes for Closest to the Pin.

The CCCC Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization affiliated with, but independent of, the college. It receives donations of money and equipment on behalf of CCCC and uses them to promote the college’s educational mission and assist students through scholarships and grants.
