CCCC designated as Military Friendly® School
SANFORD, N.C. — Central Carolina Community College has earned the 2026-2027 Military Friendly® Schools Designation and Silver-level recognition.
“It is a privilege to serve our military-affiliated students,” said CCCC Veterans Affairs Coordinator Angie Estes. “They have sacrificed so much for this country. They deserve our best service. It is such an honor to receive this distinction.”
Institutions earning the Military Friendly Schools® Designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. Over 3,200 organizations participated in the survey. Final ratings were determined by combining an organization’s survey score, public data, and an assessment of the institution’s ability to meet and exceed thresholds for student recruitment, retention, academic progress, graduation rates, career placement, and support services for veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses.
"The college is so thankful for our military families,” said CCCC President Dr. Lisa M. Chapman. “They are amazing individuals who serve and sacrifice daily for our safety and national security. In addition, they just keep giving to our communities, as employers see our transitioning veterans as exceptional talent who bring the durable skills that make for the best employees."
CCCC will be showcased in the 2026-2027 Guide to Military Friendly Schools® in the April issue of G.I. Jobs ® magazine and on MilitaryFriendly.com.
