LILLINGTON, N.C. – Are you considering starting a new business, or have you launched one within the past two years? If so, the Harnett Lift-Off Lab could be the perfect opportunity to gain the knowledge and tools you need to succeed.
The Harnett Lift-Off Lab is a free, eight-week business development program designed to support new and early-stage entrepreneurs. The program will run from Sept. 11 through Nov. 6, with weekly classes held Thursday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Central Carolina Community College (CCCC) Harnett Health Sciences Center, located in Lillington, N.C.
Participants will receive expert instruction from industry professionals in key business areas such as marketing, accounting, legal compliance, insurance and finance. Throughout the course, attendees will develop a basic small business plan tailored to their own business idea. The program culminates in a final presentation, where participants will pitch their business plan to a panel of experienced business leaders.
As an added incentive, two $5,000 grants will be awarded to the top business plans, helping to fund the launch or growth of the winners’ businesses.
Space is limited, and all participants must apply and be approved in advance. The application deadline is Aug. 25. Enrollment is free, but pre-registration and acceptance into the program are required to secure a spot.
The Harnett Lift-Off Lab is presented in partnership by the Central Carolina Community College Small Business Center, Harnett County, and the Chambers of Commerce of Lillington, Dunn, Angier, Erwin, and Coats.
