Bio
William Newby is a proud Lee County native, born and raised in the heart of the community he now serves. A graduate of Lee County Senior High School, William went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Livingstone College. His passion for education and mentorship has shaped a career dedicated to student growth and community development.
Before joining Central Carolina Community College as an Education Navigator, William held various impactful roles in education. He served as a lead instructor at the elementary school level and later as a Health and Physical Education instructor in both middle and high schools. His commitment to student success and personal development continues to drive his work at CCCC.
Outside the office, William stays active in the community through coaching. He serves as the varsity basketball coach at Lee County Senior High and also enjoys coaching soccer. A dedicated father of two—Kaiden (13) and Khloe (10)—William values quality time with his family and friends. In his free time, he enjoys watching sports and cooking on the grill, bringing people together over good food and shared experiences.
