SANFORD - Central Carolina Community College is adding two new athletes to its volleyball program.

Lily Bonner and Mekenzie Harris have signed their letters of intent to play volleyball for the CCCC Cougars.

Bonner is currently a senior at Southern Lee High School, where she was a setter for the Southern Lee volleyball team. She also is a setter for the Brick City 18's Burn Travel team. CCCC Volleyball Coach Bill Carter noted, "Lily will set and run the offense for the Cougar volleyball team in 2020. I am looking for Lily to lead the Cougars in assists and to be an offensive threat in the front row."

Harris is currently a senior at Grace Christian School, where she was an outside hitter for the Grace Christian volleyball team. "Mekenzie will bring athleticism to the court on both offense and defense," said Coach Carter. "I am expecting her to add some power to the Cougar offensive attack."
