CCCC's Philpott receives Order of the Long Leaf Pine

Julian Philpott Jr. (center), Chairman of the Central Carolina Community College Board of Trustees, recently received The Order of the Long Leaf Pine, a prestigious award given by the Governor of North Carolina. Philpott is a corporate attorney who has spent the last 30 years working as a lobbyist and general counsel for the nonprofit North Carolina Farm Bureau Federation and its affiliated companies. He is now a Senior Partner with Hayes Group Consulting. Pictured with Philpott are two other members of the CCCC Board of Trustees who also have received The Order of the Long Leaf Pine -- State Sen. Jim Burgin (left) and L.W. "Bobby" Powell (right).
