Central Carolina Community College, Chatham County and Siler City host a Ribbon Cutting and Open House for the college’s new Siler City Center from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 15, at the Center, 400 Progress Blvd., Central Carolina Business Campus, Siler City. The public is invited. The college housed its programs for western Chatham County in former public school buildings from 1977 to 2010. The new facility provides 23,800 square feet of space on two floors, allowing a major expansion of workforce training, adult education and curriculum programs in western Chatham. Regular and handicapped parking are available. In addition, a shuttle bus for the event will operate from an overflow parking area at the campus. For more information, call the Center, (919) 742-2715.
