Safe Zone II

  • Join us for the second part of our Safe Training training that prepares faculty, staff to be Safe Zone Allies. We will explore terminology, language, power and privilege, and introduce college student development theory and current research on the experiences of LGBTQ community college students. Participants will also gain in-depth strategies that can be implemented into everyday practice to best serve students and resources that can be used to support them. Participants can expect this session to be highly interactive, working in pairs and small groups, responding to questions and case studies. This training would prepare participants to serve as CCCC Safe Zone Allies.

    *Safe Zone Training I: Introduction to LGTBQ+ Issues serves as a prerequisite to this training. 

    *Participants must reflect and respond to these questions prior to attending this training.
