PITTSBORO - Area students were introduced to electronic and engineering in a Robotics workshop held on the Chatham County Campus of Central Carolina Community College on Saturday, May 14, as part of the High Tech - High Touch Weekend Workshops.

Students built a wireless remote control Titan Tank under the guidance of Sandra Castonguay (CCCC Lead Instructor, Electronic Engineering), and lab assistants Nathan Carson, Cheyenne Crowe-Gordon, and Antwane Wilson.

The Student Outreach & Recruitment (SOAR) unit of the college designs weekend workshops for students to inspire interest in science, technology, and engineering.

Students participating in the workshop were River Brit (New Century Middle School), Kaden Edyburn (SanLee Middle School), Nate Field (Margaret B. Pollard Middle School), Autumn Goyett (Silk Hope Middle School), Andrew Hunter (Lee Early College), Michael McGraw (Margaret B. Pollard Middle School), Dakota Patterson (SanLee Middle School), and Aaron Shelton (Silk Hope Middle School), along with parents and family members.
