CCCC Industry Services open enrollment opportunities

SANFORD - It is never too late to upgrade your skills, or learn new ones, that may assist in landing that new job or promotion. Central Carolina Community College's Industry Services, housed at the Innovation Center, provides training in a variety of skill areas including manufacturing fundamentals, problem solving, hydraulics and pneumatics, mechanical skills, basic electrical skills, and situational leadership, to name a few.

Open enrollment opportunities currently available include:

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification - This course blends the tools of Lean with the rigorous DMAIC methodology and statistical tool set of Six Sigma. This course is 40 hours e-Learning with 24 hours of seated classes (1-5 p.m. bi-weekly on Tuesdays), and costs $1,980 per person. Register no later than Aug. 21 and start class Aug. 25.

Manufacturing Academy - A unique 80-hour training program designed to provide the skills needed to excel in today's manufacturing environment. Emphasis is placed on the fundamentals of manufacturing. This course runs Mondays through Thursdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and costs $280 per person. Register no later than Aug. 14 and start class Aug. 19.

Welding Qualification Training - This 96-hour course introduces Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW or MIG) methods. Topics include safety in welding, blueprint interpretation, and fundamentals of GMAW. Trainees will have hands-on training utilizing the Axial Spray or Pulse Spray Transfer Method. This course runs Tuesdays through Thursdays from 6-9 p.m. and costs $384 per person. Register no later than Aug. 14 and start class Aug. 18.
