RALEIGH - Central Carolina Community College (CCCC) will be well represented at the annual North Carolina Community College Art Exhibition this year.

Four people associated with the CCCC Pottery and Sculpture program - students Carlyne Thomas, Siler City; Margo Bennett, Chapel Hill; Wayne Vaugn, Graham; and former instructor Kevin Helvey, Burlington - will have their work on display at the North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS) office in downtown Raleigh.

NCCCS President H. Martin Lancaster will host an informal reception honoring the artists Thursday, March 16, at 4 p.m. in the Caswell Building, headquarters for the system office, located at 200 West Jones Street in downtown Raleigh.

The artwork will be on display throughout 2006.

Since 1998, the NCCCS has sponsored a statewide exhibition of artwork by the faculty, staff, students and alumni of North Carolina's community colleges. The exhibition is housed at the Caswell Building. The exhibition runs from early spring through December each year.

The Caswell Building is a working office building, so people who wish to see the artwork should call Chancy Kapp at (919) 807-6962 or Peggy Beach at (919) 807-6964 to arrange a tour. The Caswell Building is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed on North Carolina state holidays and weekends.
