Ninth CCCC Foundation Chatham Golf Classic a winner

PITTSBORO - Opportunity was the big winner as golfers wrapped up the Ninth Central Carolina Community College Foundation Chatham Golf Classic May 4 at The Golf Club at Chapel Ridge.

The Classic combines fun with the serious goal of raising funds to assist CCCC students who need financial help to stay in college. The proceeds will be used to fund scholarships and to support other needs of the college.

The Chatham County Golf Classic was a Four-Person Captain's Choice Flighted competition. The winners, team scores, and sponsors were:

First Flight

First Place: Daniel Davis, David Foushee, Justin Gaines, Pat Merritt -- Sponsored by First Bank.

Second Place: Alan Dirk, Kevin McAuliff, Mickey Price, David Reeves -- Sponsored by 501 Pharmacy.

Second Flight

First Place: Tyler Bridges, Don Dinsmore, Steve Heesacker, Dakota Humphries - Sponsored by Steve Heesacker.

Second Place: Tateo Imada, John Low, Brian Vandell, Kevin Wright -- Sponsored by Pepsi.

Hole-in-one sponsor was Welford Harris Ford. Lunch was provided by Allen and Sons BBQ. Gifts in-kind were provided by Charles Schwab.

The CCCC Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization affiliated with, but independent of, the college. It receives donations of money and equipment on behalf of CCCC and uses them to promote the educational mission of the college and assist students through scholarships and grants.
