SANFORD - The Central Carolina Community College volleyball team finished the season on a high note, winning six consecutive matches before falling to Sandhills Community College in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 10 Tournament Championship on Saturday, Oct. 23.
Four members of Coach Bill Carter's CCCC team received NJCAA All-Region honors. Bonnie Thompson (Narbonne H.S., Los Angeles, Calif.) earned All-Region First Team honors. Pristina Tabon (Southern Lee H.S., Sanford), Alexis McDougald (Pine Forest H.S., Cameron), and Kai Padilla (Northglenn H.S., Denver, Colo.) earned All-Region Second Team honors.
