Click to enlarge, The Ruby McSwain Cougar Market, Central Carolina Community College's Food Pantry, is the beneficiary of the generosity of the listeners of Sanford radio stations WWGP and WFJA. The radio stations accepted donations for several weeks to go toward the CCCC Food Pantry. Pictured here with the food donations are, left to right: CCCC Foundation Intern Brenda Walker, CCCC Foundation Executive Director Dr. Emily Hare, and WWGP-WFJA's Jon Hockaday and Margaret Murchison. The Cougar Market aspires to support student success by ensuring that no student goes hungry because of a lack of income or access to food. The Cougar Market is stocked with non-perishable snacks and meal items to temporarily alleviate immediate food insecurity for students and their families. In cases of persistent lack of access to food, Cougar Market works with students to connect them to appropriate community resources. For more information on the CCCC Food Pantry, contact Dr. Hare at 919-718-7230 or ehare@cccc.edu.
