SANFORD - The Central Carolina Community College Associate Degree Nursing Program will host a Community Baby Shower from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic & Conference Center, 1801 Nash St., Sanford. The event is being held in partnership with the Lee County Health Department.

The Community Baby Shower event promotes the health and well-being of expectant mothers, new mothers, and their families through resources and education on a variety of infant and maternal topics.

There will be over 30 booths featuring a variety of organizations and vendors providing education, resource information, and services.

There is no charge to attend the event, where expectant and new mothers can win prizes and enjoy refreshments.

Current sponsors of the event include: Gold Sponsors - Central Carolina Hospital, Pinehurst Surgical; Silver Sponsor - Crossroads Church.

Donations of new, unwrapped items are being accepted through Friday, April 5. Drop-off locations are the Keller Health Sciences Building, 1815 Nash St., Sanford, or the Lee County Health Department, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford. Monetary donations are tax-deductible.
