LILLINGTON - Clem Medley, of Dunn, was honored for his service to Central Carolina Community College's Board of Trustees before the Trustees' meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 1, at the Harnett Health Sciences Center in Lillington.

Medley served on the CCCC Board of Trustees from 2005 to 2017.

Julian Philpott, Chairman of the CCCC Board of Trustees, said that Medley is a visionary who has the ability to work with others. "As chair of the board now, having served on the board with you Clem, and I'm glad your wife Kathy is here, we want to say thank you very much for all of your years of service to Central Carolina Community College and we know you'll continue to support the College out in the community."

"Clem was one of those people who always took being on the board very seriously because he knew how important it was for all of the students, but in particular for the students of Harnett County," said CCCC President Dr. T. Eston Marchant. "Clem Medley has been an outstanding Trustee, he's an outstanding citizen of Harnett County, and we appreciate everything you've done for the College."

Medley said it had been a real privilege to serve on the board. "I have enjoyed it immensely. The relationships and the friendships and the acquaintances that I've been able to make is something that will stay with me a long, long time," said Medley. "I thank you for having had the opportunity to serve and I thank you for the privilege of doing so."
