08.11.2016 • College & Community, College General

SANFORD - The Central Carolina Community College's Small Business Center in Lee County will offer an online webinar titled "Increasing Your Online Sales Overnight" from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28.

Dr. Arlene Battishill will present the webinar. Dr. Battishill has invented a product, created a successful online business, appeared on ABC's "Shark Tank," secured a deal with "Shark Tank" star Daymond John, and has recently written a book on online sales titled "Retail Shock Therapy." The first 50 people who register and attend will receive a free copy of the "Retail Shock Therapy" book.

"This webinar will be an hour-long crash course on how to dramatically increase your online sales. During the webinar, Dr. Battishill will teach simple advertising techniques to open up a whole new audience, as well as providing insights on getting prospects to buy," said Terri Brown, CCCC Small Business Center Coordinator in Lee County.

The webinar is open to any current or prospective small business owner - and there is no charge to attend. However, people can register online at www.leesbc.com (under "Scheduled Training Opportunities") or by calling 919-718-7544.

This is the third webinar program to be offered by CCCC's Lee Small Business Center.

"The addition of webinars to our schedule will give more small business owners an opportunity to attend our educational events," said Brown. "Typically, our seminars occur in the evenings, but not everyone is able to attend an evening seminar. They can now take a break during the day and get valuable training from their home or office. In addition, some business owners prefer to learn online rather than come to a class. It is our goal at the Small Business Center to make access to resources as convenient as possible so that more business owners in our community are able to take advantage of what we have to offer."

Upcoming seminars being offered by the CCCC Lee Small Business Center include:

All seminars are free. People can register online at www.leesbc.com or call 919-718-7544 for more information.
