SANFORD - Have you ever thought about a job in cosmetic arts? Health occupations? Industry? Public safety?
Central Carolina Community College's Division of Economic & Community Development (ECD) is offering numerous programs in the spring semester, including a variety of occupational classes that can lead to that special career for which you've been seeking.
One such class is Certified Drivers License (CDL), where course graduates can find jobs in the trucking industry.
The college also offers courses, programs, and seminars in the following areas: Alive at 25 & Defensive Driving, Artistry & Craftsmanship, Business & Leadership, College & Career Readiness, Computer Technology, Cosmetic Arts, Creative Writing, Emergency Services Training, Health Occupations, Human Resources Development, Industry Services, Languages, Manufacturing & Trades, Personal Interest, Small Business Seminars, and Sustainability.
For those individuals who are interested in artistry and craftsmanship, classes are available in basic hand embroidery, crocheting, jewelry making, knitting, painting, photography, Photoshop Elements, pottery, sewing, and welding.
There are a variety of Computer Technology courses -- Computers, Microsoft Excel 2013, Microsoft Office 2013, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and QuickBooks,
If you are interested in Creative Writing, there are four course offerings.
Small Business Seminars include such titles as "25 Best Businesses to Start in 2016 and Why," "Finding and Writing Grants," "Grow Your Business with Email & Social Media," and "Doing Business with the Federal Government - Contracting 101."
