SANFORD - Madison Bullard, of Sanford, is Central Carolina Community College's nominee for the Gov. Robert W. Scott Student Leadership Award sponsored by the N.C. Association of Community College Presidents.

This award, named for the former North Carolina governor who also served as president of the N.C Community College System, is designed to highlight outstanding curriculum student leadership and service.

"Madison's involvement as a student leader sets a positive example for her peers and positively contributes to the student learning environment at Central Carolina," said former CCCC President Dr. T. Eston Marchant in his letter of recommendation. "She is an excellent student - inside and outside the classroom - setting the bar high for herself at all times."

Bullard says: "While at CCCC I have learned what I believe. Being immersed in community college laid out the world to me, essentially. ... During my time growing here [at home] and at CCCC the last three years, I now know that I have a path and a purpose. I am intended and will continue to be intentional in all that is set before me."
