Nine complete CCCC Detention Officer School

Nine officers from the sheriff offices in Chatham, Harnett and Lee counties graduated Oct. 29 from the Detention Officer School at Central Carolina Community College's Emergency Services Training Center, in Sanford. The officers completed 168 hours of classroom and practical instruction and achieved a 90.6 grade average on the state certification examination. They are now prepared to serve as detention officers with municipal, county or regional jails in North Carolina. The course focused on four key areas: legal, physical fitness, practical applications and medical. Pictured are (first row, from left) Detention Officer School Director Capt.
