Central Carolina Community College has received a $223,006 GoldenLEAF,rnInc. grant to add six patient service stations in its new dentalrnprogram facility at the Central Carolina Dental Center in W.B. WickerrnBusiness Campus in Sanford. Pending American Dental Association initialrncertification, expected in early 2007, the college will offer a dentalrnassisting diploma program starting in the spring and a dental hygienistrnassociate degree program starting in the fall. The Dental Center is arnjoint effort with the Lee County Public Health Department’s Division ofrnClinical Services. Advanced students in the CCCC program will helprnserve patients in the Health Department’s dental clinic.
