Getting an ID during COVID-19

If you are a distance education student, or temporarily taking online classes due to COVID-19 closings, you can get your student ID by completing the Student ID Request Form. You will need to provide a photograph for your ID. Directions are provided in the form. You must be signed in to your portal account to fill out the ID request form.

Due to restrictions caused by the COVID-19 outbreak we have moved the CCCC ID process online. If you are a new CCCC staff or faculty member and need an ID, you can get your CCCC ID by completing the Faculty/Staff ID Request Form. You will need to provide a photograph for your ID. Directions are provided in the form.

After you submit this form, your faculty/staff or student ID will be mailed to you. If you have any questions, need a replacement ID, or otherwise need assistance, please contact the Library at cccclib@cccc.edu or call (919) 718-7244.

Getting a Student ID

All current CCCC students are required to have a student ID while on campus. You can get your student ID made at the Lee or Harnett Main Campus Libraries, or in Building 1 on the Chatham main campus. To get your ID, you will need to bring your class registration receipt that lists the courses you are enrolled in and the semester in which you are enrolled.

Your first student ID is free. However, if you lose it within a year, it will cost $5 to get a replacement. If it has been longer than one year since you had your last ID printed, then the replacement will be free.

Your student ID is used to purchase books and course materials for financial aid, as well as to checkout library materials. If you get your ID at the Lee or Harnett Campus Libraries, your information will automatically be added to the Library system. If you are on the Chatham campus, you will need to go to the Library to have your ID information added to the Library checkout system. Once you are added, you will have access to the complete CCCC collections. Some instructors also require student IDs in order to enter their classrooms (your instructor will inform you if this is the case).

Your student ID number is on the front of the card as shown in the sample image below. On the back of the card is your Library card number. This is the number that is used to check out library materials in your name.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact the Library at cccclib@cccc.edu or call (919) 718-7244.

Getting a Staff or Faculty ID

All CCCC staff and faculty are required to have an Employee ID. You can get your ID made at the Lee or Harnett Main Campus Libraries, or in Building 1 on the Chatham main campus. You do not need to bring any documentation with you when you come to get your ID. If you lose your ID, you can stop by the library for a free replacement.

Your ID is also your library card. If you get your ID at the Lee or Harnett Campus Libraries, your information will automatically be added to the Library checkout system. If you are on the Chatham campus, you will need to go to the Chatham Community Library to have your ID information added to their Library checkout system. Once you are added, you will have access to the complete CCCC collections.

Your Employee ID number is on the front of the card. (In the sample image below it is identified as a student ID number.) On the back of the card is your Library card number. This is the number that is used to check out library materials in your name.
