Hurricane Florence Disaster Recovery Grants
Central Carolina Community College has been allocated funds from the State and Federal Government to assist students who have suffered financial hardships due to damage and destruction from Hurricane Florence. These funds may be used to cover any expenses to support a student's continued enrollment to include: transportation, textbooks, tuition, fees, and living expenses.
To apply the student must meet the following criteria:
- Student was enrolled at the time of the application for grant funds.
- Student must have a financial need related to the impact of Hurricane Florence.
- Student was enrolled at CCCC on or before September 10, 2018 and is still enrolled at the time of the application.
Student understands that by receiving the grant aid he or she must use their best efforts and take all reasonable steps to obtain alternative funds to cover the losses of needs for which the grant is provided, including funds from insurance policies in effect, any available federal aid such as FEMA, and any other sources of aid that may be available. In addition if a student obtain funds from another source to cover the losses or needs for which the grant is provided, the student must return the amount of the grant that was covered by the funds from another source to CCCC.
CCCC has partnered with Christian United Outreach Center (CUOC) to be a food pantry. Bags consisting of 2-3 non-perishable meals are provided to students in need, no questions asked. The Financial Aid Office serves as a distribution center. If you are in need of this service, stop by the Financial Aid Office!
