To access the Virtual Success Lounge, use the following information:

In private meetings or small group settings, Success Coaches target students' individual needs and identify appropriate resources. Success Coaches work with students on self-advocacy, goal clarification, motivation, mindfulness, time management, study skills, reading comprehension, and help them create personal plans for academic success. Key to their work is a student-centered approach which builds independence and accountability and encourages students to fully engage with all of the learning opportunities Central Carolina Community College has to offer.

Candice Solis holds a Bachelor's Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Criminal Justice, with a Concentration in Forensic Crime Scene Investigation; a Master Degree in Criminal Justice from Arizona State University, and a Juris Doctorate from North Carolina Central University School of Law. Prior to her role as a Success Coach, she gained extensive experience working within the criminal justice system. While her driving force is criminal justice advocacy, her true passion is in the field of education. As an experienced Criminal Justice Instructor, she has worked hard to support student success in and outside of the classroom. In fact, her absolute joy in life is working with students. She believes there is nothing more exciting than working one on one with students and supporting them along their path to success.

In her spare time, Candice enjoys going to the beach with her husband and children. She also enjoys listening to podcasts, going to the movies, volunteering for various advocacy groups, and listening to music loudly in her car!

In 2005 Jennifer received her Bachelor's Degree in Communication from NC State University (GO PACK!) . After working in banking for 10 years she decided to take a different career path and found herself working in the public schools system. It was then she knew she had found her passion. She has had the privilege of serving students in various roles within education for the past 6 years. In 2014 she completed her Cosmetology licensure with CCCC (GO COUGARS!). In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 boys, listening to podcasts, and traveling to the beach. Serving as an advocate for students and helping them move towards their academic goals is by far her favorite position she has held!

Angela Crisp-Sears

Angela Crisp-Sears received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in History and Women's Studies. She then attended the other Carolina, earning a M.Ed. in Student Personnel Services in Higher Education and a Graduate Certificate in Women's Studies from the University of South Carolina. She has over a decade of experience working in four year institutions in the areas of Student Leadership Development, Co-Curricular Programming and Student Activities. She joined the CCCC staff in 2014 as a facilitator in the Pittsboro Academic Assistance Center. Angela is very excited to be a Success Coach with the College Success Center.

When not on CCCC's Chatham Main Campus, Angela enjoys playing board games with her family, shopping at local farmers' markets, reading and working crossword puzzles.

Amy Gustavson received her Bachelor’s Degree in Arts Applications from NC State University (GO PACK!). She also holds a Master of Library Science Degree from North Carolina Central University. She’s currently working on her Graduate Certificate in Academic Advising at Kansas State University.

Amy has worked in higher education for 17 years and at CCCC for 8 years. She loves working with students to help them identify their strengths, challenges, and to support them in solution finding. She previously worked as an academic librarian, academic advisor, and in accreditation and research.

In her spare time, Amy loves riding roller coasters (current count is 110+), hiking, traveling, and watching Pixar movies with her husband and son. She also loves learning about anything! Amy is very excited to be supporting students throughout their journey at CCCC!
