We are calling ALL CCCC students, faculty, and staff to celebrate the annual National First-Generation College Celebration to honor the anniversary of the signing of the Higher Education Act of 1965 on November 8th!
CCCC's TRIO Student Support Services program and First-Generation Committee is hosting a First-Generation Celebration Day at each of the campuses to acknowledge, recognize, and celebrate anyone who identifies as first-generation! (Being a first-gen student means that you are the first in your immediate family to go to college). Whether you are a first-generation student, graduate, or advocate, everyone is welcome!
In order to celebrate our first-generation people, we will be providing cookies, cocoa and apple cider refreshments, a photo booth, and more!
This event will be joined with CCCC's Fall Fest - come find our table (look for our teal/gold balloon arch and decorations)!
