Nuture your love of poetry with guest speaker, Ty Stumpf. This session will focus on ekphrastic writing: writing a poem from looking at another piece of artwork or a picture. This will help attendees get quick inspiration and provide attendees with the opportunity to chat about what they find notable in a work of art of any sort.This event takes place in the computer lab in the Lee campus library.

Light snacks will be provided.

There will be 15+ dishes to taste. $10 (cash only) $1 for unlimited drinks

Jaki Shelton Green, NC's current poet laureate and the first African-American to hold the post, will hold a free public reading, brief film screening, meet and greet, and book signing on Wed., Apr. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Dennis Wicker Civic Center Auditorium in Sanford. No reservations are required.
