W.O.W. Workshops on Weekends


The Workshops on Weekends (W.O.W.) series is based upon the educational approach that takes S.T.E.M. (science, technology, engineering and math) and adds the process of creativity and innovation utilizing the arts - S.T.E.A.M.

For each workshop the fun begins at 9 a.m. and continues until 12 p.m. (noon) with a break and a snack. Workshop participants under the age of 10 years, will need to be accompanied by their parent or guardian.

  • Electronic Engineering Technology

    Great first “robot” project for participants who are interested in robots. In this workshop, participants build two (2) different types of wigglebots and learn some basic concepts in engineering, motors, and circuits.

    Workshop registration fee - $25

  • The Sciences
    (Cosmetic Chemistry)

    Participants will create, combine, and experiment with some commonly available and inexpensive health and beauty ingredients to create and develop some fun and unique cosmetic products (body scrub, homemade lip balm, and soap).
