Veterans Upward Bound Program

Dear Applicant:

Thank you for your interest in the Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) Program at Central Carolina Community College. Our program is a federally funded program which prepares veterans for postsecondary education. The VUB Program at CCCC serves veterans from Lee County, Harnett County, Chatham County, Johnston County, and Wake County. Eligible participants will receive academic instruction, advising, assistance in securing local veteran support, and assistance in preparing for the transition to college. We are thrilled that you are interested in pursuing a college degree and look forward to helping you reach your goals!

If you are interested in participating in the Veterans Upward Bound Program, please follow the instructions below in order to complete the application process:

  1. Complete all fields of the application;
  2. If available, include a copy of last year's taxes (Form 1040 or 1040A) to verify income;
  3. Return the completed application to:

Once your application has been received and processed, you will be notified by mail of your application status. If you are accepted and enrolled, a member of our staff will reach out to you immediately to establish a plan for how we can help you prepare for college.
