Carl Bryan

Head Women's Basketball Coach

Coach Carl Bryan (Coach B.) received his B.A. in Political Science and Physical Education, Exercise and Sport Science in 1990 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received his M.A. in Physical Education, Exercise and Sport Science in 1992 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He began his career at CCCC in 1992 and now serves as the Dean of Student Learning at the college.

He was recently awarded the 2010 Circle of Excellence Instructor of the Year at Central Carolina Community College. Through an interview process with the North Carolina Community College System, he was named as one of the top five community college instructors for 2010. He is a Gold Level Sports coach through the NYSCA and has credentials in coaching from Cal Ripken baseball, Pop Warner, and Football America. An avid youth sports supporter, he has coached soccer, basketball, baseball, and football in Lee County through Lee County Recreation, UpWard Basketball, Sanford Area Soccer League, Pop Warner, Carolina Pride (Moore County), and Broadway Optimist. He currently is the race director of the Broadway Our Way festival's "Run the Buck 5k."

He is the former CCCC Men's basketball coach at CCCC from 1996-2000 and coached the women's basketball team from 2004 - 2006.

Coach B has returned to coaching on the collegiate level to build the women's basketball program and provide young women a venue for playing and furthering their careers as student-athletes.
