CCCC Siler City Center Adult High students win at fair
SILER CITY – Adult High School students at Central Carolina Community College’s Siler City Center brought home three top awards from the Adult High School Regional Science Fair held Nov. 8 at Montgomery Community College.
The Siler City Center AHS students won:
• The Environmental Award for “How Clouds are Formed,” an experiment demonstrating how clouds are formed and the different types of clouds. Team members were Keresa Wright, Bidget Allison, Tanya Smith, and Tamara Parramore.
• The Best Team Effort Award for “How Clean is Your Environment,” an experiment that demonstrated the presence of bacteria in even apparently clean places. Team members were Cory Wilson, Travis Phillips, Holden Eliason, Zachary Brown, and Rigo Melgar.
• The Good Experiment Award for “Rainbow Glass,” an experiment in density using sugar and water to make solutions of different weights and colors. Team members were Cameron Green, of Amber Smith, Travis Pugh, Lidia Mereno, and Anthony Cunningham. |
