Enjoy toe-tapping entertainment with the Depot Park Concert Series

Sanford, NC – The sweet sounds of bluegrass and country will fill the air around Sanford’s Depot Park during two free concerts sponsored by Central Carolina Community College (CCCC) as part of the 2004 Depot Park Concert Series.

The Home Town Country Music Variety Show featuring Laurence Poindexter will take the stage on Thursday, July 22, at 7:30 p.m.   The group, which holds an annual country music variety show at the Temple Theatre, promises a mix of bluegrass, classic and modern country, family harmony and acoustic music.

Tommy Edwards and the Bluegrass Experience will perform on Thursday, August 26, at 7:30 p.m.   The Chatham County based band is known for it’s lively performances of original bluegrass.  Edwards and other members of the group recently performed during CCCC’s critically acclaimed play “Millworker.”
