SANFORD - Rodney Alston Jr., of Rocky Mount, has agreed to join the Central Carolina Community College men's basketball program.

"Rodney is a 6'3" combo guard, who can shoot the basketball at a high percentage. He adds length to our team at the guard position," CCCC Men's Basketball Coach Brad McDougald said of Alston, who attended Rocky Mount High School. "Rodney is a really good addition for the program, and I am very excited he chose to be a part of this great institution. I expect Rodney to come in and be a major contributor very quickly."

Alston is this year's fifth signee, joining Jamar Butler and Darnell Carver, of Western Harnett High School, as well as Larry Barnes, of Metrolina Christian Academy in Indian Trail, and Russell Bradley, of Carver High School in Winston-Salem.
