CCCC holds BLET program graduation

SANFORD - The Central Carolina Community College Basic Law Enforcement Training program held its graduation on Dec. 18 at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center.

Members of the graduating class are Maximillian Hogan, Johnsie Holbrook, Jayne Holland, Ryan Jollie, Kyle Moore, Lindsey Purvis, Cody Roberts, Ian Scott, and Olivia Sturdivant.

Several of the graduates were recognized for outstanding achievement during their training. Recognized from the class were: Most Improved Physical Fitness - Olivia Sturdivant; Fastest Police Officers Physical Abilities Test (POPAT) - Apprehension - Maximillian Hogan; Fastest Police Officers Physical Abilities Test (POPAT) - Rescue - Maximillian Hogan; Jimmy Collins Top Gun Award - Cody Roberts; Highest Grade Point Average - Kyle Moore; and Highest State Exam - Kyle Moore.

Capt. Bryan Allen, of the Lee County Sheriff's Office, delivered the graduation remarks. Ryan Jollie presented the class response.

The college's BLET program is under the direction of Robert Powell.

Sponsoring agencies for the class were Broadway Police Department, Chatham County Sheriff's Office, Harnett County Sheriff's Office, Lee County Sheriff's Office, Moore County Sheriff's Office, North Carolina State Parks, and Pinehurst Police Department.
