CCCC ranked among N.C.'s best community colleges

SANFORD - Central Carolina Community College has been ranked fourth among the 2017 Best Community Colleges in North Carolina in the latest Niche rankings. There are 58 public community colleges in the North Carolina Community College System.
"Niche is a website that helps you discover the schools and neighborhoods that are right for you. We rigorously analyze dozens of public data sets and millions of reviews to produce comprehensive rankings, report cards, and profiles for every K-12 school, college, and neighborhood in the U.S.," according to the Niche website.
Factors considered in the ranking include value grade, professors grade, student experience grade, student surveys on overall experience, diversity grade, local area grade, and safety grade.
"This is the first year that we've ranked both community colleges and trade schools here at Niche, so we're very excited about the opportunity to help our users find the right schools for them in a totally new way," said Jessica Hair, Niche Marketing Outreach Coordinator. "Central Carolina Community College ranks No. 4 for both the best community college and trade school in North Carolina, which is a testament to the quality education that your students receive at CCCC."

Central Carolina Community College offers a wide variety of programs at its three campus locations and multiple instructional locations throughout Chatham, Harnett, and Lee counties.
Within these programs, students can earn associate degrees or college transfer credits, diplomas, or certificates. Some programs are offered entirely, or in part, via online distance education.
CCCC's Economic & Community Development Division offers courses in such areas as Short-term Job Training, College & Career Readiness, Personal Interests, Business & Industry, and Emergency Services Training.
