Compassion 2015 set for Feb. 3

SANFORD - "Forces For Good" is the theme of the Compassion 2015 non-profit leadership workshop, set for Tuesday, Feb. 3, at the McSwain Center, 2420 Tramway Road, Sanford. The event, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., is sponsored by Central Carolina Community College, the Sanford Area Chamber of Commerce, and the United Way of Lee County.

The discussion focus will be the book "Forces For Good," authored by Leslie Crutchfield and Heather McLeod Grant, which was voted as a top ten business book of the year in 2007.

The workshop will include group discussions centered around the six chapters of the book, which will focus on various ways that participants can strengthen their organizations.

Participants are encouraged to purchase (amazon.com) and read the book prior to the start of class.

Cost of the workshop is $30, with lunch included.
